Begin a child he had a minor speech impediment, but after some practice and gaining confidence Mark now has one of the nicest voices on YouTube. Mark's original channel idea was to create comedy sketches and he used his entire tax refund to buy his first camcorder, but he ended up using this camera very little and focused on making gaming videos. It's also worth to mention that YouTube once blocked his revenue stream on his main channel Markiplier, so he uploaded a video on his channel outlining that he had created a new channel because of the ruling and told all of his current fans to subscribe to his new channel MarkiplierGame, without explaining the reason. luckily he was able to change the name back to Markiplier, so now he owns one of the best channels on the YouTube.

Over the years Mark hosted different live streams on Twitch to raise money for many charity organizations. Including Cincinnati Children's Hospital, The Depression and Bipolar Support Alliance and the Best Friends Animal Society.
